Privacy statement
Lessy only uses your details to keep you posted about our launch and to understand what kind of home you're looking for. We don't sell your details and we don't share them with landlords.
Who we are
Lessy is a trade name of Poel Estate B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 84480653. We are responsible for processing your personal data. Questions about privacy go to hello@lessy.nl.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- your first name and email address;
- where you'd like to live, your maximum monthly rent and when you want to move;
- who will be living in the home (for example just you, you and a partner, or a family);
- the date and time you signed up and your consent.
For the waitlist we don't ask for your income, documents or other sensitive information. Filling in the form is voluntary; without your first name and email address we can't add you to the waitlist.
What we use it for
- To let you know when Lessy launches and how to start your search.
- To understand which areas, price ranges and households we hear from most, so we can shape our service around them. We look at this at group level.
We process your details based on your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you sign up and then confirming by email. You can withdraw it at any time. This doesn't affect what we did with your details before.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe, and no longer than 12 months after you sign up. If you become a Lessy customer after launch, our privacy statement at that time explains what happens to your details.
Who we share it with
We only share your details with companies that help us run the waitlist: our hosting provider Cloudflare, which serves the website and passes on your sign-up, and our email service Brevo, which keeps the waitlist and sends the emails. We have a data processing agreement with each of them. Brevo stores your details within the European Union. Cloudflare is a US company and may process data outside the European Union, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We don't share your details with landlords or other third parties, and we never sell them.
Cookies
lessy.nl doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't load fonts or other files from third parties.
Your rights
You have the right to see, correct or delete your details, to restrict how we use them, to receive them in a common file format, and to withdraw your consent. You can unsubscribe through the link at the bottom of every email or by writing to hello@lessy.nl. We reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your details, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
We protect your details with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Only people who work for Lessy and need the details can access them.
Changes
If we update this privacy statement, the new version will be on lessy.nl.
